Our mission is to understand and learn from the ways natural environment and production of objects, are interconnected so we can apply that knowledge to how we create society.
Using the forest, our workshop and residence, we connect Kyoto city and the region of Keihoku through educational programs, tourism, artist in residence program, field research.
We are planting forests with the aim of making craft more sustainable. We plant materials such as lacquer and mulberry, not just for harvesting but as part of our forest field for learning. We offer programs looking at how to make a more biodiverse forest to the relationship between people and the forest through educational programs.

We offer a place where anyone can learn about the connection between the environment and making, where anyone can become a maker and through those activities cycle the natural resources of the area locally
